New Hair
I thought it would be fun to put on some pictures of her new head of hair. I get asked often how her hair has changed. It is a lot thicker, but when she lost it she had just turned one and it was still baby fine hair. I think the color has changed to a little less strawberry blonde to more of a sandier blonde (neither of the colors were very dark, but just a real subtle change). We haven't noticed any curl yet but it isn't very long so I guess we will still see. I will take some more over the next couple of days and also add them to the blog.

She is such a little doll, just love her darling smile!
Sarah,
I don't have your phone number- thought I had a number for Kim but not sure if its right. I called it but haven't heard back. I am in town for a couple of days enroute to Ohio and wondered if you and your sisters wanted to get together Monday or
Tuesday. email me at hainesusa@yahoo.com if you can. Hope you get this....

She looks so much like you Sarah! Yeah that is so exciting!
I love the stories about her hair coming back in. Especially the blow dryer one. So many things we take for granted. Larry always says hair is highly overrated! We do appreciate it that we have hair though!
We have been thinking about you guys lately and wondering how everything is going! We love you and hope all is going well. I love to see pictures so hopefully you will keep posting them. Give all the kids big hugs from Aunt Maridee. Love ya.
Michael and Sarah,
I have read your blog updates since your daughter's diagnosis. I wanted to comment and offer our love and support, but it was just after our 2-year old sweet Alyssa had passed away from a childhood cancer and as I would try to comment, I just felt so empty. I really wanted to offer our help and support and fresh understanding, but no words would come. Reading your updates, especially at the beginning, when you were first having to use the words oncologist, chemotherapy, neupogen, ANC, as well as your experiences throughout treatment brought back memories of those days and my heart ached for you. However, we, like you, were carried and given strength beyond our own as we went through all that she needed. We continue to feel a measure of peace and look forward to the time when we will see her again and take her in our arms. We are so excited with your daughter's progress and continue to think of you often! We hope all continues to go well!
Sincerely, Lori Chappell

Yeah for new hair!!! My son's new hair came back in SOOOOO soft. It came back in darker than before. Over the last 4 months it has gotten more blond (some of that may be because he plays outside in the sunshine way more) and it is really full. His eyelashes and eyebrows are back nice and full. The surprise of his post-chemo hair is now he has TONS of curls. The more it grew, the curlier it became.
I just love seeing how their bodies want so much to thrive.
Good luck on your scans.
